That’s really dependant on a LOT of factors. I’m sure there’s mushroom farmers who could grow huge, healthy mushrooms without any VC – and there’s people who, even with VC, couldn’t grow a good mushroom.

What I would say, is that adding VC to a growing medium will make the plant more efficient at taking up nutrients, will use less nutrient to gain the same result, and be more healthy and pest/disease resistant.

VC isn’t a “magic bullet” – it helps plants in many ways, but doesn/t instantly mean you’ll have super sized fruit etc – there’s a lot of skill involved in growing any plant.
